I have decided to sell my LGB collection. I plan to do a spreadsheet with Name of Book, Title, Condition, and would like any pointers on other info that should be listed. I will post to this website once I have everything properly cataloged.

When I am looking for a book to buy or going through a stack of books, I am looking for these things:
The condition
The edition
Number of pages( to see if the book is complete)
Any special things about the cover(some titles have many different covers).
Good luck!

Hi,
On my collector spredsheets, the following information is on them: 1) Title of Book, 2) Number of Book, 3) Copyright Year, 4) any ISBN number, 5) Edition (A or MCMXCIV, etc.), 6) Year of Back Cover (as found in Steve Santi's "Collecting Little Golden Books") and 7) Condition (1 being poor, and 4 being nearly new). I take these spreadsheets whenever I go to flea markets and antique malls.

A couple of times the back cover and the original price has helped to determine if the book is a true edition if the back page can not be "cracked" to reveal the edition, or if no edition is found.

Good luck, I hope this helps!
