I was born in 1946 and had what I remember as a Golden Book about an elderly couple who had a large, productive garden. They planted the seeds, cultivated and harvested their produce and then canned everything. Finally they sat in front of the fire in the winter, enjoying the fruits of their labor.
Having searched in vain for anything remotely like this in the LGB listings, I am beginning to wonder if this was indeed a Golden Book. Does anyone know of such a book?
