I am looking for a golden book about a grandpa bunny who went out at easter time and painted the forest and easter eggs. I remember the young bunnies painted shadows on the snow and painted the trees and bushes in bright colors. The book would have been from the 1950's. Does anyone recall this book?

The title is 'Grandpa Bunny' and it is a golden book. The newer editions are titled 'The Bunny Book'.

Does Grandpa Bunny pass on at the end and a beautiful sunset is painted by him? I've been trying to find out what book that was.

The book ends with 'Have you simply ever seen a sunset so gorgeously bright?'. I believe it to be the book you are seeking. The book is out of print. They are available often on ebay.Go to the front web page of this site and click on the ebay logo, books, little golden books and search for grandpa bunny or the newer version bunny book.
