When I was little i had several little golden books, and I remember a book with a fairy stuck in a thorn bush, and a little boy with a strainer on his head, I think he was called "macaroni." I would be very grateful if you could tell me what the title of this book was. I would really love to find a copy of it. Thank you for your help.

i think the tital of the book is Just Imagine actually i'm prettty sure thats what it is. but you might have trouble finding it cuz its out of print. oh and the poem you posted is missing some lines:

My name is Macaroni
Macaroni the Knight
i will fight for my kingdom
and all that is right
I will fight for the backyard
i will fight for the hill
And all the people in Macaroniville
My sheild's an old gray trash-can top
A broken stick's my blade
my rewards a jelly sandwich
and a glass of lemonade
and for that i will protect my street
my backyard and my house
Every tree and bird and cricket
every cat and dog and mouse
so evil knights of evil deeds
take heed of me---BEWARE
don't try to attack my bakyard today
