I recently (about four days ago!) started collecting books. I went to a yard sale today and found a first edition- very excited!! Since I am completely new to this, I was just wondering the value of this book. "The Friendly Book" It has the A in the back corner of the last page. The cover is worn, the corners very worn, the binding tearing on the outside. The pages are perfect except for age-browning. No writing, no tearing of pages, vibrant colors! What do you think this book may be worth?
Also, how might I find the edition when there is no letter in the back, and no letters in the front?
Thanks!

It is very difficult to price a book unseen. A first edition mint is 15.00. Your description tells me the book is worn and the binding is poor so...my guess is 5.00 or less. Please read the FAQ on this website to learn more about edition markings. There arr many ways to tell. Good luck on your collection!
