I'm searching for a book and need help remembering the title.

The story begins with a little girl playing trucks with a little boy. He says she can't play because she's a girl.
Her mother takes the little girl to meet some of her friends to show her that girls can be whatever they want to be when they grow up. There was a policewoman and a lady doctor, and i don't remember what else - lawyer, firewoman, or something. I remember the women in the illustrations wore fashions from the 1970's (and i was reading it in the very early '80's) so i'm thinking the edition was circa 1975.

I'd love to find it to read to my little girl, as it really made an impact on me.
Hope you can help!
