I would like to let everyone know that the extremely rare book, The Magic Key, is up for auction right now on ebay. The auction ends on January 20; bidding began at $25 and is now at $26. I have seen several posts on this forum asking about the book over the past few years. It was published by Jolly Books, similar in size to Little Golden Books, Wonder Books, etc.

I was fortunate enough last year to snag a copy from an ebay auction. My little granddaughters enjoy having the book read to them, and I love reading it to them! The story is charming and imaginative with beautiful vintage illustrations. It is a wonderful alternative to all the commercialized "licensed characters" that overrun children's books of today. I'm not saying these are all bad; some are quite good, but I do like sharing with them something beyond the typical books that make up kids' reading experience of this 21st century.

I'd love to hear from others on this subject. Your thoughts, anyone?
