I found a box of LGBs some of which were mine from about 1956 and others from my daughter 1978. She now has a 2 year old son. I want to give him some of the books but, obviously, I need to know if they might be valuable. I haven't gone through the other books yet and I really appreciate any help you can give me. I am totally new to the value of children's books - the oldest ones I have were passed from me (1956) to my sister (1959) to my cousin (1963) to my daughter (1978) and now to my grandson (2009) (If they aren't valuable). Some were purchased by me for my daughter in after 1978. I'm not concerned about making money on them; I just don't want him to possibly tear up something that is valuable. I might entertain a sale if someone needs it for their collection, but I just want to instill the love of books to my grandson.

Thank you in advance for allying my fear that he's going to rip up a $50 book.

Thanks! I can give them to him without a lot of worry then. I appreciate it. I was not able to find much online about them.
