Do you think this could be the book?? circus not zoo?? There are a couple for sale now on ebay if you would like to see the cover...the orangish cover.

My son and daughter remember reading a book about a man taking his daughter to the zoo. It began " The sky was a little bit pink and a little bit grey". Anyone know the title?
