Does anyone have any ideas on how to shelve these books, since there are no identifying marks on the spine. I want to start collecting them for my first grandchild that is due soon. I am concerned that the inability to easily find the one they are looking for in an (eventually) large collection, will deter my son and daughter-in-law, or grandchild for that matter, from really valueing the them.
Thank you.

My friend has his books rebounded, some of them classics. But another friend arranges the titles alphabetically and keeps a catalogue.

My golden books with no readable spine are arranged alphabetically on bookshelves. I use plastic figures such as happy meal toys to help me find books. Donald Duck sits by the D's;Little Mermaid by the L's; Yogi Bear by the y's . Hope this helps....
