I am looking for a book which told of a little girl whose father was a sea captain. He ventured on long journeys and when he returned, he always had a doll as a gift for his daughter. The doll represented the country he had journeyed to.
This book was given to me by my grandparents who traveled the world and always brought me a doll from the country they had just visited.
It's a nostalgic thing......
