Hello, Jane--the story you remember is, I believe, not a Little Golden Book, but a chapter in the first of three "Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle" books; story is called "The Radish Cure". All three books have been reprinted in one volume "The Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle Treasury"; it's hardbound, with a dustcover. The ISBN is 0 -06-024812-2. I just bought a copy within the last year or so at Borders Books in our city, to replace the tattered paperback copies we had. Hope this helps!
