When I was about 3 years old, 1953, I memorized a Little Golden book about a mother cat and her kittens. I recited it endlessly to anyone who would listen and some who wouldn't! I don't know what happened to the book, but I suspect it was given to a cousin of mine when I was a little older because she didn't have many books. I loved the book so and remember that is was illustrated with photographs rather than drawings. I remember photos of the cat and kittens living in a cardboard box, but that is about all I remember now. I'd love to identify the name of the book and see if I can acquire a copy of it. Please, any help will be appreciated!
