Hi, I am looking for a children's book probably from the 40's or early 50's. I'm not sure if it is a LGB. My husband's mother used to read it to him when he was very young. He is convinced the title is Patty and the Moon. He says it is about a leprechaun and he says a "Patty's moon" is a crescent moon... I am much younger than he is so I have never seen or heard of the book. I would really love to find a copy to surprise him. If anyone can help me please let me know. You can email me at amy@ohio-performing-art.org

Thank you so much for any help you can offer

Hi Amy, I thought the name might be Paddy, not Patty, since leprechauns are Irish. Title of the book is Paddy's Moon, by Mary Regan, c. 195l. Just Google Paddy's Moon and you'll see it for sale several places. I saw it at Biblio.com by Milliway's Books for $36; other prices were higher, but I didn't check everywhere of course. The detailed description by Milliway's Books also showed the cover, of a leprechaun perched on a crescent moon. Happy Hunting!
