I'm trying to remember the title of a Golden Book, but I remember the illustrations more than the plot itself. It was about a little boy who is sent to live with his grandparent(s). It would be from the 70s, maybe earlier. It ends with the grandfather and grandson roasting apples at a fireplace by hanging the apples up with string over the fire. Does anyone remember this?
