I have a feeling he is remembering a Golden Book I purchased him right before the company store shut down in our town of Crawfordsville. It would have been around 2002, and it was a Smart Pages book with sounds. I recall we had one about the Gingerbread Man, which I can find online, but I'm pretty sure there was another one about treasure hunts.
