I'm looking for a a little golden book that possibly came out in the 1970s or earlier. It is about a little boy that keeps losing his red rain boots. His name is John pursnell (?) Pinkerton jr and the name is repeated in its entirety throughout the entire book. I'm not real sure about his middle name. I would love to know the title of this book as I would like to purchase it again.
