Eloise Wilkin, illustrator

 NewsEloise Burns Wilkin was born in Rochester, NY on March 30, 1904. At age 11 she won a drawing contest with a picture of a pilgrim returning home. She completed a illustration course at the Rochester Institute of Technology and began doing free lance work. Her first book was 'The Shining Hour' for the Century Co.

GOLDEN SHAPE BOOKS

 NewsSoft covered shape books with die cut edges to mimic the cover art were first produced in 1964. They were first produced with a 29 cent price on the cover.

The smaller sized little little golden books.

 NewsIn 1988 the first little little books were published. These books were 3 inches square and had golden binding on the edge. They were usually packaged two to a set but I have found them in packages of three also.
