I remember a Little Golden Book about a little island girl who played with a homemade doll(coconuts?) and a big ship came to her island. One of the sailors , dressed as an Englishman, I think, gave her a fancy new china doll before the ship sailed away. I have the farm girl version of this story, and have seen others. Her picture was used on the end paper of a collection of Golden Book stories, but her story was not included. It would be easier to track if I had the correct title. Thanks.
