It sounds like "The Magic Friend-Maker" by Gladys Baker Bond.
That title is correct. There are many for sale on ebay but I caution you on the price. The guidebook says 15.00 and all are higher. If you want it bad, go for it.
I am trying to figure the name of what I believe was my favorite Golden Book when I was a little girl. It was probably published in the early 60's or late 50's. It was about a little girl who went through all the seasons/holidays and then Christmas. It must have been illustrated by Eliose Wilkins because it is really the pictures that I remember. I'm sure someone out there remembers the title-sure love the help!!!
The Little Golden Holiday Book illustrated by Eloise Wilkin was published in 1974.

Hi,
I hope someone can help. The book had two girls sitting on a front step. The book was about two girls one I think just moved to the neighborhood and the other girls gives her a rock to share with her. That is all I can remember but I really want to find the book.
Thanks for anyone's help!
