Not sure, but it could be "Little Mommy" LGB #569. The original cover only showed the little girl with dolls in a rocking chair; new cover (book has recently come back into print) shows little girl giving one of her baby dolls a kiss. Boy in the story not on either cover. Hope you find what you're looking for!

I don't remember the title of the Golden Book I loved when I was little, so any help would be appreciated.
It was about a little girl who played a 'home game' with dolls, & a boy who played the father, going off & coming home from work.
I think on the cover was a picture of the boy walking along the garden path coming home, but I'm not 100% sure.
Sorry for the vague details, but would love it if anybody recognises the book from this description as I'd love to share it with my own young children now.
