I think this book was from the 1950s. It had a Mother Goose rhyme on each page with photos of cats wearing clothes to depict the rhyme. There was "Polly put the kettle on" with one kitten at the stove and another kitten sitting at the table. I have tried to research online but I do not know the title. Thanks for any assistance.

I do not own the book so i cannot tell you if this is the correct storyline. There is a Rand McNally Elf book titled The Little Kittens Nursery Rhymes. There are two different covers that depict kittens in clothing: 8311 has one cat in clothing on the cover and 8739 has two cats in clothing on the cover. The illustrator is Henry Whittier Frees in both and the copyright is 1941 in both which leads me to believe the insides would be the same storyline. There are other Rand mcNally books which depict kittens in clothing if this is not the one.

Thanks,

I found the one online with the two cats on the cover. I may try to find the others, eventually.
