Big Grin I stumbled across your site when doing a Google search. I have begun to collect children's books from my childhood, but primarily LGB's. I now have a forum to ask my questions, search for books wanted, etc. I have found some other great resources, however, at times I have felt that LGB's are viewed as 'not in the same class' by some collectors. THANK-YOU! THANK-YOU!

I have collected for 17 years. Little golden books are definetly viewed differently by most book dealers as being lower classed. The book has a reputation of being not as sturdy as regularly bound books. Schools also did not like the stapled binding so a golden craft binding was produced so schools would buy the product. They definetly have staying power in the minds of the people who read them.
